Two gigantic projects worth a total of $850 million have investment advisers and local real-estate agents forecasting a boost to residential property values in the Mornington Peninsula district.
The biggest is Peninsula Link, a $759 million project that will slash travelling time between Carrum Downs and Mt Martha down to just 17 minutes – a saving of up to 40 minutes in peak periods.
The link, which will make living on Mornington Peninsula and commuting to Melbourne a much more attractive proposition, will include 27 kilometres of freeway standard road with two traffic lanes in each direction.
