The clearance rate this weekend was again in excess of 80 per cent, bringing the year to date clearance rate to 80 per cent compared with 66 per cent this time last year and 84 per cent in the boom of 2007. It is worth noting that over the year the number of auctions held is down by 33 per cent compared to 2007.
This weekend there were 430 auctions reported of which 366 sold resulting a clearance rate of 85 per cent. There were 64 homes passed in of which 39 were passed in on a vendors bid.
We are expecting just over 500 auctions next weekend.
