For the first time this year, Victoria’s emissions from energy this week went down. This week’s overall decrease of 1.4% or 29,000 tonnes was largely due to a 3% drop in emissions from coal-fired electricity. Victoria’s emissions for every week in 2008 continue to be lower than the same weeks in 2007. This week’s Indicator is 29.8% above the 1990 weekly average for energy.
