A combination of a lower number of auctions than in previous years and recent reductions in interest rates has helped ensure a healthy number of buyers competing at auctions today, with a clearance rate of 76 per cent being achieved. There were 417 auctions reported today, with 319 selling and 98 being passed in, of which 69 were passed in on a vendor bid. Next weekend there will be plenty of choice for buyers, with around 650 auctions expected to be held.
