Low numbers of homes at auction are continuing to drive demand this year, resulting in clearance rate of 77 per cent this weekend, a level of demand that is well in excess of the comparable weekend last year.
With just over 600 auctions scheduled next weekend it will be a test for the market to see if the clearance rate remains over 70 per cent.
There were 390 auctions reported this weekend, of which 299 sold and 91 were passed in, 66 of those passed in on a vendors bid.
