Results from today’s auctions exceeded the same weekend in 2006, which was a solid year, in terms of the number of auctions held and the clearance rate achieved. The clearance rate today reached 79 per cent. This result should provide a great deal of confidence for vendors and those considering selling in the next few months.
There were 442 auctions reported today, of which 347 sold and 95 were passed in, 57 of those passed in on a vendor bid.
With only 200 auctions scheduled next weekend, competition is likely to be high.
